Engebos Heating & Cooling, LLC was established in 1936 by Greg Engebos. The roots of the company started as an appliance dealership in downtown Green Bay (Homemakers’ Appliance) which was a division of Greg Engebos & Sons, Inc. Ralph Engebos became the President of the combined Industrial/commercial HVAC contracting & hardware/appliance retail operation upon the retirement of his father in 1970. In the mid 80’s the direction and size of the business changed to focus on commercial and residential HVAC, becoming Engebos Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. Ralph sold the business in 1994 and ownership passed to Jim Verheyden and Tim Menger and the company was now known as Engebos Heating and Cooling LLC. Upon the passing of Jim Verheyden in 2018 the business remained in the hands of Tim Menger, who successfully ran the business until 2020.

In 2020 the company transitioned to its current LLC status, with Matthew P. Kersten as owner. Matthew brings 30 years of experience to the company and is a forward thinker who wants to build on the long-standing foundation that Engebos Heating and Cooling LLC has created.

Today, we specialize in residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC needs in Northeast Wisconsin. With years of experience in the industry, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch service, expert installations, and a wide range of high-quality HVAC products tailored to meet the unique needs of our customers.

We had Engebos Heating and Cooling come out to do... a pre winter checkup on our furnace and the technician that came to the house(I believe his name was Kory) was excellent. He did a very thorough job on the furnace and checked the furnace and humidifier filters. All the time he worked he pleasantly explained what he was doing and his opinion of the condition and future of the appliance. I would recommend Engebos and especially our technician if you are looking for a good local company to service your heating and cooling.read more
